My pricing philosophy ..."steak, not hamburger"

Ethically? I believe in a fair rate for a professional job, and so my pricing reflects my creativity, technical skill, experience and the overheads such as equipment and insurance that you expect from a professional photographer - without trying to bankrupt you in the process. A living wage for a craftsman, not a banker's obscene bonus ... every aspect of my photography is bespoke, not production line, and as a result I take on a limited number of commissions and give every image I take for a client the same individual care I would give my own personal photographs. Steak, not hamburger ...
You will always find cheaper photographers if you look, trying to sell you fillet steak at hamburger prices, but you might benefit in the long run from pausing to wonder how they are cutting corners to make their packages look too good to be true? Or whether they have sucked you in with an incredible headline price backed up by an ill-defined 'viewing experience' which will turn out to be full of emotional blackmail and very nasty surprises when you get down to the nitty gritty of print and product prices ... ?
This ethical philosophy extends to the suppliers I deal with, sourcing wherever possible papers which are at least chlorine-free and FSC-certified, asking sometimes awkward questions and genuinely aiming to choose business partners with a clean bill-of-health when it comes to the environment and workers in developing nations.

Photo-restoration
Single images can be given a new lease of life for just £12, and include a hi-res copy of your sympathetically-restored image - discounts apply for multiple images. Please contact me for more information.
Commercial/Product photography
- half-day rate: £150, to include hi-res images supplied on disk
- full-day rate: £250, to include hi-res images supplied on disk
